Whether you're enjoying a Mexican-themed food night at home or have a craving for fast food, cheese enchiladas are likely to appear on your radar. This staple of Mexican cuisine, which can also include beans, meat and seafood, consists of a corn tortilla wrapped around the filling and often doused in chili sauce. Understanding the approximate number of calories in your enchiladas ensures you're able to track your caloric intake for the day.

Say "Cheese"

According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, cheese enchiladas from fast-food restaurants have about 196 calories per 100 grams, which is equivalent to about 3.5 ounces. The exact number of calories you consume while eating an enchilada depends on the size of the item, but the USDA reports that a standard serving is 163 grams (or about 5.7 ounces), which equates to 319 calories. The USDA reports that cheese enchiladas have a higher caloric content than those that contain a mixture of cheese and beef. This form of enchilada contains about 168 calories per 100 grams or 3.5 ounces.
