1. The Curly Hair Dilemma
The interesting thing about curly hair is that individuals who have curly hair don't usually like it, but those who have straight hair would love to have curls. Curly hair is eye-catching, and many woman would love curly hair--except those who were born with curls. Whether you've got naturally curly hair or would love to transform your straight locks into cascading curls, it's possible to make every day a good hair day.
2. Hair That's Got Style
Individuals with naturally straight hair can avoid wearing styling products if they prefer, but having curly hair usually requires some type of styling product on a regular basis. Gel helps to create a defined curl. Mousse is lighter and helps to tame frizziness. Add a small amount of lotion to your hair gel to avoid frizzy hair.
3. Grooming Tips
Brushing curly hair almost always results in frizziness. Use a wide-tooth comb or hair pick instead to gently comb curls. If you use a blow dryer, stop when your hair is still slightly damp. The extra heat can create unruly tresses and dreaded frizz. The trick is to use enough styling products to make your curls behave without using too much to make your curls too stiff. Use a blow dryer to give curls a lift from your scalp. Mist the roots lightly with hairspray.
4. Eliminate Those Curls
For males that hate their curly hair, moving to a shorter hair style will reduce or eliminate naturally curly hair. Usually, this is not practical for females. Males could get a crew cut to remove the curls entirely. If naturally curly hair is short, it becomes wavy rather than curly. This is usually more desirable for males who hate their curls. If you have longer hair, a chemical straightening process helps remove natural curls from hair. Also, a straightening iron can eliminate natural curls on a temporary basis.
5. Create Curls
If you weren't born with naturally curly hair, it's possible to get what nature didn't give you. Sponge rollers, bendable rods and rollers can all help you achieve curly locks. Generally, the less hair you use per roller, the tighter your curl will be. Perms are also another option for creating curly hair, but chemical processing doesn't usually result in a natural-looking curl.
