Slimquick is marketed as a fat burner for women. It is designed to be taken as a supplement to dieting and exercise. It contains portions of the hoodia gordonii, a plant that grows in South Africa. While there are many claims that hoodia reduces the appetite, according to the Mayo Clinic, there is no proof.
Insomnia
As with many diet supplements, you may find it difficult to sleep while taking Slimquick, due to its stimulant effect. To avoid insomnia, take the supplement early in the day and try not to take it while imbibing any food, drink or supplements that contain caffeine.
Diarrhea
Like any significant change in diet, Slimquick Hoodia may cause diarrhea. Adding fibrous foods to your diet can help reduce the effects and eliminate diarrhea. Diarrhea also causes your body to lose fluids, so it is important to drink extra liquids, particularly water or sports drinks with electrolytes.
Irregular Heartbeat
Approach any substance that can effect your heart with caution, including Slimquick Hoodia. If you have any irregularities in heart function, stop taking slimquick immediately and contact your doctor. Irregularities may also include a rapid heartbeat.
Other Side Effects
Slimquick Hoodia may produce other side effects, including headaches, nervousness, nausea and dizziness. Report any minor side effects that do not go away with continued use of Slimquick Hoodia to your doctor.
