Imported Beer Calories

The oldest active brewery in the world is the Weihenstephan brewery in Freising, Germany, founded in 1040. With that much experience, it's no surprise that beer drinkers enjoy imported beers as much as they do, even if the calories can be a little high.

Beck's

Beck's, a popular German beer, has a respectable 143 calories and 10 g of carbohydrates in a 12 oz. bottle. Its modest 5 percent alcohol content makes this import a well-rounded beer to enjoy in any setting.

Heineken

Slightly heavier than Beck's, Holland's Heineken contains 150 calories per 12 oz. serving with 11.5 g of carbohydrates. However, despite the slight difference in carbs and calories, Heineken also has an alcohol content of 5 percent.

Foster's

Australia's Foster's Lager clocks in at 156 calories and 11 g of carbs per 12 oz. serving. With the most calories of the three, Foster's only has 0.1 percent more alcohol than Beck's and Heineken at 5.1 percent per volume.
