Clearasil created two products to help combat blackheads. These products make up the blackhead control line of Clearasil's skincare product line. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, blackheads occur when pores become clogged, creating a dark spot on the skin. The Blackhead Clearing Scrub and Blackhead Clearing Wipes product are designed to help treat and prevent blackheads from occurring. The products contain natural sea salt to help clear skin and treat blemishes.
Scrub
Step 1
Wet your face with warm water, either at the sink or in the shower.
Step 2
Squeeze a dime size amount of Blackhead Clearing Scrub into your hand.
Step 3
Apply the product to your face using a gentle massage in a circular pattern, concentrating on areas prone to blackheads. Avoid the eye area to prevent irritation.
Step 4
Rinse your face well using warm water. Be sure to remove all of the product; leaving any behind could be irritating to your skin.
Step 5
Dry your face thoroughly and continue with your normal skin care routine.
Wipes
Step 1
Open the Blackhead Clearing Wipes jar and remove one wipe.
Step 2
Clean your entire face using the exfoliating side of the wipe to remove dirt, oil, makeup and dead skin cells that can clog your pores and cause breakouts.
Step 3
Turn the wipe over and smooth over your entire face to provide moisturization.
Step 4
Discard the wipe in the trash.
Step 5
Continue with your normal skincare routine once your face has air dried completely. There is no need to rinse your face after using these wipes.
Tips and Warnings
- You can use either the wipes or the scrub twice per day, or alternate using one in the morning and the other at night. It is not recommended for you to use both at the same time as it could cause skin dryness and irritation.
