Jelly beans are a common candy around some holidays and were the favorite candy of U.S. President Ronald Reagan. This sweet treat comes in sugar-free varieties that allow many people who have to watch their sugar intake to eat them.

Calories

A 1 oz. serving of sugar-free jelly beans contains 57 calories, according to the Calorie King website. Many of these calories come from carbohydrates -- a single serving of these jelly beans provides 26.2 g of carbohydrates, or 9 percent of the daily recommended intake.

Flavors

You can choose from a variety of flavors when it comes to sugar-free jelly beans. Depending on the brand, this sweet treat comes in buttered popcorn, cherry, green apple, pear, lemon, licorice, pineapple, cinnamon, strawberry and tangerine as well as other fruit flavors.

Considerations

Despite being sugar-free, if you're suffering from diabetes, eat sugar-free jelly beans with caution. The Diabetes Library website notes that this product still contains carbohydrates, which can raise your blood sugar levels.
