Step 2

Look for a floral spring fragrance if you consider yourself more of a super feminine girl. Those women who love all things pink, accessories and flowing dresses will love a spring fragrances with notes of freesia, jasmine and rose meant to compliment a girly-girl with a fresher scent.

Step 3

Choose a spicy scent if you want to be taken seriously as an intellectual. While spicy scents are usually more appropriate in the winter, spicy spring scents that incorporate fresher smells like mint and eucalyptus as well as the usual musk show that you are serious and aren't deterred by floral scents. Spicy scents are also typically good for the office, as they aren't overpowering.

Look for a delicate scent if you are a shy person. If you're not the type who likes to stand out in a crowd, and don't want your fragrance to be overpowering or too noticeable, a subtle scent that only you and those closest to you will even notice. Women's magazine Marie Claire recommends light vanilla and musk concoctions.

Step 5

Settle on a classic scent like vanilla or a Chanel No. 5 if you're not sure what your fragrance personality is, or if you prefer something a little more traditional. These classic scents never change with the seasons, and are acceptable all year round. Just apply with a light hand so that you get a light fragrance instead of a strong one.
