Turkey breast consists of the light meat of the bird, which is leaner and contains less fat than dark meat. When eaten without the skin, the meat is a significant source of calories from protein.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a 3-oz. serving of boneless skinless turkey breast contains 100 calories. Around 80 calories are protein and 20 calories are fats. No calories are provided by carbohydrates.

Daily Intake

A 3-oz. serving of boneless, skinless turkey breast can provide around 5 percent of the caloric intake recommended for the average adult each day. This percentage is based on a typical 2,000 calories per day diet.

Components

The USDA also states that a 3-oz. serving of turkey breast weighs 66 g. Approximately 20 g are proteins and 2 g are fats. Indigestible matter, other nutrients and water comprise the remaining portion.

Nutrients

Boneless and skinless turkey breast also contains essential vitamins, including vitamin C, thiamin, riboflavin and vitamin B6. Dietary minerals, such as iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and selenium, are also available from turkey breast meat.
