Strive exercise equipment offers a workout for many different muscle groups, and the company manufactures machines for both adults and children. Additionally, Strive machines feature cam resistance where you can change the amount of resistance through different points in your range of motion.
Types
Strive has created several different machines to target your upper body, lower body and core. Some of the machines for adults include the chest press, arm curl and leg press. Machines for kids include the youth shoulder press and youth leg press.
Chest Press
The adult chest press machine has eight adjustable seating positions. It uses a weight stack with a maximum weight of over 350 lbs., and also features a footbar to place your feet on when exercising. This machine has the cam technology, where resistance can be added in different parts of movement. The handgrips are designed so that you can change your grip from wide to narrow. The chest press works your pectoralis major and the triceps muscles, according to the website ChangingShape.
Leg Press
A Strive leg press machine can be effective for strengthening several muscles in your legs. The Strive adult leg press machine features a weight stack with maximum resistance of over 500 lbs. The seat is positioned upright for better comfort. MayoClinic.com says that this exercise targets your quadriceps, glutes and hamstrings.
Arm Curl
The Strive arm curl machine primarily works the biceps and forearms. An arm pad, positioned at a 45-degree angle, isolates your biceps and allows complete range of motion. You can also adjust from a wide to narrow grip. Weight stack resistance maximizes at 165 lbs.
Pricing
As of November 2010, the chest press machine costs about $4,900 and the leg press machine costs $6,500. The Strive website points out that their products are used extensively by fitness centers, rehab facilities and by the U.S. military.
