The ProForm CrossWalk 365S is one of several treadmills you can purchase directly from Sears. This treadmill, while similar to many others in that its primary purpose is to walk or run on it, does possess some unique features you won't find on many other options. Although the 365S is an older model CrossWalk treadmill, you can still receive parts for it from the Sears Parts Direct website.
Upper Body Arms
What make the CrossWalk 365S unique from many other treadmills are the upper body arms, which are similar to those on an elliptical cross-trainer machine. You can pull and push on the arms while walking on the treadmill to increase calorie burn and work your arms. Adjust the resistance from the upper body arms by turning the resistance knobs clockwise to increase resistance or counterclockwise to lower the resistance. The knobs are located on the bottom of the arms by the treadmill's deck. Normal stationary handrails also come on the sides of the treadmill so you can hold onto the machine while you walk instead of using the moving arms, if you prefer.
Convenience Features
The CrossWalk 365S treadmill comes with a bookrack, an accessory tray and a safety key/clip. The safety key/clip ensures that you will not go flying off the end of the treadmill if you cannot keep up with the walking belt, if you wear the key/clip on your waistband.
Walking Belt
The CrossWalk 365S comes with a cushioned walking platform, which the user's manual says provides maximum comfort when exercising.
Heart Rate Sensor
This treadmill features pulse sensors to let you know your current heart rate. To use them, hold your thumb on the sensors firmly but without pressing down too hard for 15 seconds, according to the user's manual. You can get a reading by holding your thumb in place for only a few seconds, but keeping the thumb in place for 15 seconds results in a more accurate reading. Step off the walking belt and onto the side foot rails when using the sensors.
Treadmill Folding Feature
A handy feature of the CrossWalk 365S treadmill is its ability to be folded up and wheeled away for storage or space saving. You simply lift the deck and secure it in the upright position, with the storage latch on your left. You then tilt the treadmill toward you slightly and carefully roll it to where you want to go. Once you have moved the treadmill to the desired location, put one foot onto the base of the treadmill and slowly lower the front of the base onto the floor. The manual recommends that only people who can safely lift 45 lb. attempt to fold and store the treadmill.
Age and Weight Limit
Sears says that the CrossWalk 365S is usable by anyone 12 or older. The treadmill bears an approved weight limit of 250 lb. Only one person can exercise on the treadmill at a time.
