Calories in Chablis Wine

Chablis wine is fermented from Chardonnay grapes grown in a specific region in France. Chablis is known as a dry white wine that is still slightly fruity. Like all wines, though, Chablis can add more than a few calories to your daily calorie count.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture, a 3 1/2-oz. serving of white table wine typically has 70 calories. CalorieKing notes that the average calorie count for a 5-oz. glass of Chablis, across all brands, is 120 calories.

Calories from Carbohydrates

MedlinePlus reports that each gram of carbohydrates has 4 calories. A 5-oz. glass of Chablis has 5.5 g of carbohydrates; this equates to 22 calories from carbs.

Calories from Protein

Each gram of protein also has 4 calories. Chablis wine does have a small amount of protein; it contains 0.1 g in 5 oz. This equates to less than half a calorie from protein in each glass.
