The dark chocolate square with white mint filling is one of seven flavors offered in the Ghirardelli Squares line of chocolates. According to Ghirardelli, these individual-sized chocolates are meant to savored. They are available for purchase both online and in stores.

Calories

Like the other flavors in the Squares line, the dark chocolate squares with white mint filling have 210 calories per serving. A serving is three squares, or 45 g, which equals about 70 calories per piece.

Fat

Each serving contains 12 g fat, 6 g of which are saturated fat. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend that you consume less than 10 percent of total calories from saturated fat. Because of the high amount of saturated fat in this product, consumption should be limited.

Iron

One serving of dark chocolate square with white mint filling is a good source of iron. It provides 10 percent of your daily recommended intake of iron. It is not a good source of any other nutrients.

Cocoa Flavanols

Research by cardiologists from the University of California San Francisco suggests that cocoa flavanols in chocolate may have a protective effect for patients with heart disease. While the amount of cocoa flavanols in the the Ghirardelli Squares is not listed on the label, chocolate is a food rich in flavanols.
