You don't have reserve time at a gym or play in a league to play basketball. You can put up on your Huffy basketball goal at your home. It can be rolled easily from one spot to another. One of the key advantages of Huffy setup is that you can take it down whenever you want to move it or if you don't have any interest in playing any more. It can be put away in an area of the garage or the basement.
Step 1
Set the base where you want to position your Huffy basketball hoop setup. This will often be somewhere on your driveway. In order to keep your base from moving around, fill it with 100 lbs. of sand so that you don't have to worry about it toppling over in dangerous weather conditions.
Step 2
Insert the outer arm of the frame in a pre-determined slot on the base. This arm is often referred to as the boom. Place the front edge of the outer arm so that it rests on the pole at the front part of the Huffy base.
Step 3
Secure the backboard to the basket frame with the main screws. Screw them in tightly to lock the Huffy backboard in place. Connect the rim to the backboard. Use four screws that go into predrilled holes on the backboard.
Step 4
Turn the main handle on the base to get the basket to the proper height. The standard height for any basket is 10 feet for any game involving adults. But if you have younger children you can make the height to 7, 8 or 9 feet.
Step 5
Put foam padding on the base of the basket. In any basketball game, collisions can occur. A fall into the base can cause injuries. Attaching foam padding with double-sided tape can protect anyone from serious injuries.
