Essential Oil Hemorrhoid Treatments

Hemorrhoids are a common condition, caused by pressure on the veins, which causes them to protrude, internally or externally. The result is pain, itching and bleeding in the rectal area. Women who are pregnant or have recently given birth are especially prone to hemorrhoids, due to constipation. Various treatments are used for hemorrhoids, including at-home treatments like sitz baths and over-the-counter preparations. Essential oils are a natural alternative to topical creams and wipes and may reduce the irritation associated with hemorrhoids.
