Calories From Fat in a Triple Whopper With Mayo at Burger King

You might be shocked to learn the fat and calorie content of certain classic burgers. Burger King's triple Whopper, for example, exceeds the recommended daily amounts of total fat, as well as the percentage of calories from fat.

Basic Calorie and Fat Counts

A triple Whopper with cheese and mayo contains 1250 calories and 84g total fat. The same sandwich with mayo but without cheese is 1160 calories and 76g fat.

Calories from Fat

The with-cheese version of the triple Whopper gets 60 percent of its calories from fat, while the no-cheese version's calories are 59 percent from fat.

No-Mayo Versions

If you "hold the mayo" on your triple Whopper with cheese, you'll receive a 1090 calorie, 66g fat sandwich, with 54 percent of the calories coming from fat. The no-cheese, no-mayo sandwich is 1000 calories and 59g fat, with a fat-from-calories content of 53 percent.

Considerations

MayoClinic.com recommends a daily diet in which 35 percent or fewer of your daily calorie intake comes from fat. The ratios of the triple Whopper are far higher than the recommended amount. In addition, the with-mayonnaise versions of the sandwiches each exceed the suggested number of fat grams for the entire day, which is 70 grams for a person consuming 1800 calories per day.
