How Many Calories Are in a Half-Pint of Smirnoff Vodka?

Smirnoff offers a popular line of vodkas that are available throughout the United States. Like other vodkas, the number of calories in Smirnoff is determined by the amount of alcohol it contains.

Calories

Smirnoff 80 is a typical 80-proof vodka that has 514 calories in an 8-oz. half-pint serving, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Smirnoff Silver is just over 90-proof and, thus, has 585 calories in a half-pint. Smirnoff 100 is a 100-proof vodka that has 656 calories in every half-pint.

Calories From Other Nutrients

Unlike beer or wine, vodka does not retain any of the nutritional value from its original starch source after it's distilled. Therefore, Smirnoff vodka does not have any calories from fat, carbohydrates or protein.

Considerations

While a half-pint is a somewhat large glass of vodka to drink on its own, you may be combining it with a larger amount of another beverage to create your favorite mixed drink. If so, know the calories in your mixer of choice. Mixers are often loaded with sugar to make them fruity enough to overpower the taste of vodka.
