Cellulite can appear all over the body, more commonly on the thighs, butt, arms and hips. Reducing cellulite doesn't require expensive surgery or a miracle cream. Fortunately, according to experts at the Mayo Clinic, the best way to reduce cellulite everyday is to lose excess body fat with proper diet and exercise.
Step 1
Drink enough water to stay hydrated. According to Shape Fit, dehydration causes the appearance of cellulite to be more pronounced. If your urine stream runs clear or mostly clear, your body is hydrated.
Step 2
Perform cardiovascular exercise 30 to 60 minutes each day to lose excess body fat and ultimately reduce cellulite. Cardiovascular exercise is any physical activity that keeps the heart rate elevated. Walking, doing yard work, running, playing your favorite team sport, working out on an elliptical trainer and swimming are all good options.
Step 3
Build more muscle mass with weight training. Muscle burns fat even when you are inactive. Building more muscle will also tone your body and reduce the amount of cellulite that you have. Select a weight that allows you to complete six to eight repetitions per exercise. Train each major muscle group twice a week using the Shape Fit muscle map (see Resources).
Step 4
Improve your diet. Incorporate more natural, organic and unprocessed foods into the diet, such as fruit, vegetables and whole grains. These types of foods have fewer calories, sugar and fat and consuming them will help you reduce cellulite everyday.
