How to Fold a Total Gym 1500

Your total gym 1500 is a versatile product, so once you have finished exercising, you can simply fold away and store it in a closet, garage or under your bed. It's a good idea to clean it prior to storage, saving you time in your next exercise session. Folding and stowing the product doesn't require any special tools, and if your tight on space, you also have the option of removing the glide board.

Step 1

Remove the leg pulley and wing accessory, ensuring the arm pulley cable remains attached underneath the glide board.

Step 2

Put one foot on the back crossbar to prevent the frame from lifting up. Slowly pull out the height adjustment "C" pin from the height adjustment column, keeping one hand on the rail. Lower the rails. They should rest on the rear crossbars. Start lowering the height adjustment column until it reaches and rests on the center rail.

Step 3

Locate the bracket at the base of the left rail. it will be attached by a spring-loaded pin. Slowly pull the pin, and keep a hold of it as you fold the vertical height adjustment column. Once folded over, release the spring-loaded pin and you will hear a click when it locks back into place.

Step 4

Take extreme care when folding the exerciser by lifting up the center of the frame and bringing it together until it rests on both the front and back crossbars. Continue with bringing it together until it's completely folded. It's now ready to be rolled away into storage, unless you want to remove the glide board for additional compactness.

Step 5

Remove the glide board by laying the Total Gym 1500 on a flat surface. Remove the pulley from the hook located on the underside of the glide board. Remove the glide board from the Total Gym 1500 by sliding it off the frame and then set it aside. Continue to fold as described in Step 4.
