The American Heart Association reports that you should limit your total fat intake to between 56 and 78 g, and cholesterol intake to less than 300 mg daily.
Facts
The AHA explains that food labels that read "fat free" are required to have less than 0.5 g of fat. Foods with "low fat" labels are required to have 3 g of fat or less. Those that have "reduced fat" labels are required to have at least 25-percent less than the regular version of that product.
