Considerations

Homemade recipes can be modified to substitute yogurt, orange juice or citrus juice for the oil. Instead of using equal parts oil and vinegar, you can cut the oil in half, make a substitution and save some calories. Just 1 tbsp. contains 120 calories.

Facts

White balsamic vinegar is sweeter than dark balsamic vinegar, and generally requires fewer sweeteners. Balsamic vinegar on its own averages about 25 calories per tbsp.
