Prince O3 tennis rackets are comfortable and maneuverable with impressive spin compatibility, according to a review on Tennis-Warehouse.com. The Prince O3 tour is a solid choice if you are looking for a light, customizable racket. Stringing a Prince O3 tennis racket involves the same basic process as stringing any other racket. The main strings run vertically and the cross strings horizontally. You can restring a racket to address looseness created over time by hitting or to customize the tension.

Step 1

Mount the Prince 03 racket in a stringer. Secure the clamps of the stringer so that the head and neck of the racket are immobile.

Step 2

String the main string starting at the head of the racket. The hole is labeled "M start." Make a knot before you begin. Pull the string vertically from the top to the bottom, skipping 8 head and 8 throat holes. Run the string down the neck and then bring it back up to the head. Look for the white dots, which will guide you as to the holes so you don't miss any. Do not share holes.

Step 3

Clamp the string at the head and apply tension. Use the amount of tension you prefer, though the recommended tension is between 53 and 60 lbs.

Step 4

Tie off the main string at 7 head. The tie off location is labeled "M off." Make a knot with the excess string and then cut off whatever is left over.

Step 5

String the cross string starting with the right side at 8 head and 8 throat. It will say "knot tie off" at the place you begin. Weave the string in and out in an over-under pattern through the main string until you reach the left side. There are six small holes on the right side and only five small holes on the left side to bring the strings through as you make your way down the racket. The cross string on the Prince O3 starts from the top.

Step 6

Clamp the cross string and tie it off at the 9 head and 9 throat holes on the right side of the racket. Tie a double knot once the string is through the hole. Release the clamp and cut off excess string.

Tips and Warnings

  • You do not need plastic grommets to protect the strings of your Prince O3 racket. The racket may try to rotate when you put tension on the upper strings. Avoid this by using the boomerang tool that comes with the racket. Simply place the boomerang into the O port after bringing the string through along the underside of the port. The string fits easily into a groove in the boomerang tool. Then clamp the string.
  • Make sure you begin stringing the cross strings at the top of the racket. Starting from the bottom will nullify your warranty.
