Beer is a popular alcoholic beverage in the U.S. But over the years, it has been found that many brands have a high count of calories. Today though, there are some beers available with lower calories.

Budweiser Select 55

Budweiser Select 55, by Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, Missouri, is a pale lager and is currently the lowest calorie alcoholic beer on the market. As the name suggests, it contains 55 calories in an average 12-oz. bottle or can serving. It also has 2.4 percent alcohol.

Miller Genuine Draft 64

Miller Genuine Draft 64, also known as MGD 64, from the Miller Coors Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a pale lager that has been on the market since 2008. It has the second lowest calorie content with 64 and an alcohol content of 2.8 percent in a typical 12-oz. serving.

Beck's Premier Light

Beck's Premier Light, by InBev in Bremen, Germany, is the lowest calorie imported beer in the U.S. with 64 calories. It is also low in alcohol content at only 2.3 percent and low in carbohydrates at 3.9 per 12-oz. serving.
