Fun size candy gives you a taste of your favorite candies without the worry of consuming too many calories or too much fat. The "size of fun" has become smaller over the years with the shrinkage of fun size candies.

Types

The average serving size of a fun size candy is one-half to one-quarter the equivalent of its regular size candy bar counterparts. Snickers, Milky Way, Mounds, Rolos, and many other candies are available in fun sizes.

Features

Most fun size candies contain about 80 calories and 4 grams of fat per piece. There are marginal amounts of iron, calcium, vitamin A and protein in fun size candies. They have a high glycemic index and are not good choices for people who have diabetes or are prediabetic.

Fun Fact

Nearly 30 percent of adults in the United States admit to stashing some fun size candy treats for themselves at Halloween. But don't keep them too long; milk and white chocolate stay fresh for up to eight months when wrapped in foil, and dark chocolate will last about a year.
