If your diet plan limits your carbohydrate intake but you crave pasta, Dreamfields Low-Carb Pasta may be a good option for you. The pasta is lower in carbohydrates than regular pasta, and Dreamfields promotes it as being suitable for people with diabetes, although you should always check with your doctor. The nutrition information is for a serving size is 56 g of uncooked pasta, or a half-inch diameter "bundle" of spaghetti, linguine or angel-hair pasta, one-third cup penne or spirals or two lasagna noodles.

A serving of Dreamfields Low-Carb Pasta provides 190 calories, 1 g fat, and no saturated fat, trans fat or cholesterol. It has 7 g protein, 1 g sugars and 10 mg sodium, or 1 percent of the daily value for sodium for someone on a 2,000-calorie diet. The pasta has 10 percent of the daily value for iron, an essential mineral for healthy red blood cells, 8 percent of the daily value for copper and phosphorus and 6 percent for zinc.

Carbohydrates
