Trimline treadmills were originally made by Hebb Industries, which was started in 1994 by the Hebb brothers. In 1998, Trimline was acquired by Schwinn, a company that Nautilus bought in 2000. Nautilus later discontinued the Trimline brand. The Trimline 2450 treadmill provides basic features and a space-saving design for residential users.
Design
You can fold the 2450 treadmill into a vertical position to save space when you aren't using it. Lift the back end of the walking deck until it reaches the console. Once the treadmill is in an upright position, you can tilt it onto its wheels and move it as needed.
Options
The 2450 Trimline has a speed range from 0 to 10 mph. Press the speed "+" or "-" key on the left side of the console to increase or decrease the belt speed. This model also offers an adjustable incline ramp. Press the incline "+" or "-" key on the right side of the console to adjust the incline between 0 and 10 percent.
Console Features
Use the console to keep track of your progress throughout your workout. The console displays the current speed and incline, as well as the elapsed time, distance and approximate calories burned. Pause your workout by pressing the "Stop/Pause" button on the console. The treadmill retains the workout information for when you resume.
Workout
For healthy adults under the age of 65, the American College of Sports Medicine recommends performing moderately intense cardio 30 minutes per day, five days per week, or performing vigorously intense cardio 20 minutes per day, three days per week. Following these guidelines, use your 2450 Trimline treadmill three to five days per week for 20 to 30 minutes. If you are a beginner, start slow and gradually increase the intensity of your workouts using the speed and incline settings.
Maintenance
To keep your Trimline 250 treadmill running smoothly, perform regular maintenance tasks. Wipe down your machine with a damp cloth after every workout. Check for any loose bolts or screws and tighten as necessary. Lubricate and adjust your treadmill belt as outlined in your user's manual.
