Protein

The nutrition information at the Daily Plate explains that 1 oz. of beef sticks contains 6 g of protein. Protein is essential for proper health, as it provides structure for your body's tissues. The National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health suggest consuming between 50 and 65 g of protein daily.

Carbohydrates

Beef sticks are low in carbohydrates, with just 1.5 g per 1 oz. serving, according to the Daily Plate. This may make beef sticks appropriate for a low carbohydrate diet.
