Once you start playing golf regularly, you'll quickly realize that the more you work on your swing and the more you practice, the better you will be on the course. Building a consistent and repeatable swing is the key to becoming a competent golfer. You may not have the time to get to the practice range and plunk down $7 or more every time you want to hit practice shots. Instead, you can practice at home with a Wilson golf net. Assemble it at home and hit balls in your own backyard.
Step 1
Attach the two 8-foot guides made from PVC to one of the 12-foot guides. Use elbow joints and PVC epoxy to secure the frame. The result will be the horizontal base of the net.
Step 2
Attach three 12-foot guides using two elbow fittings and epoxy. This will be the front part of the Wilson golf net. You will position yourself 3 to 5 feet from the front of this opening to hit balls once you have completed the assembly.
Step 3
Attach the horizontal base from step 1 and the upright opening frame from step 2, using elbow couplings and PVC epoxy. You are now ready to string the netting over it to complete your practice net.
Step 4
Position the net over the top of the frame and fasten it with plastic ties. You will need another person to tie the net while you hold it in place. The net should have enough slack so that it will catch the golf balls after you hit them and not rebound back at you.
Step 5
Secure the frame by putting 60-lb. sandbags over each of the legs on the frame. This will keep the Wilson golf net from moving or blowing away on a windy day.
