One large soft pretzel contains 483 calories, a medium soft pretzel contains 389 calories and a small soft pretzel contains 210 calories. An ounce of salted or unsalted hard pretzels made with enriched or unenriched flour contain 108 calories. One ounce of hard pretzels made of whole-wheat contains 103 calories.
Types
Pretzels are made in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some are shaped like rods while others are shaped like a horizontal figure eight. There are also waffle shaped pretzels, pretzels covered with chocolate, soft pretzels, hard pretzels, salted pretzels, unsalted pretzels and whole-wheat pretzels.
Suggestion
Consume unsalted pretzels for better health. Excess salt in your diet can result in high blood pressure and raise your chances of having a stroke or heart attack.
