Vegetables provide humans with the nutrients needed for cellular reactions. Vegetables contain several vitamins in the flesh and juice of the plant product. These vitamins help people produce energy in the cell, produce products for sight, boost the immune system and create the building block for strong muscles and bones. Along with protein and carbohydrates, vegetables are a good source of nutrition for a healthy body.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is an essential vitamin available in vegetables like oils and dark green leafy plants. Vitamin E is associated with vitamins that circulate in the body as an antioxidant. Antioxidants are molecules that attach to free radicals. Free radicals are rogue ions that circulate in the body and attach to any molecule, and this molecule can be the DNA. Free radicals damage DNA and cause premature aging and cancer. Vitamin E removes these ions and protects the skin from wrinkles and the DNA from damage.
Pyridoxine
Pyridoxine is a part of the B vitamins. Pyridoxine is B6. Vitamin B6 is a vitamin that promotes the proliferation and development of red blood cells. It also assists the body in the balance between sodium and potassium. This is pyridoxine's most important function. High amounts of potassium or sodium lead to severe conditions. High amounts of sodium causes high blood pressure, which can cause the muscle to overwork and harden leading to cardiac arrest. High amounts of potassium lead to severely low heart blood pressure. Pyridoxine balances these two elements to ensure the body is able to produce red blood cells and deliver them throughout the body.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C has several purposes in the body. Vitamin C improves the immune system and helps it fight off pathogens. People who regularly eat vegetables that contain vitamin C can present a stronger immune response when a pathogen invades. It can also help the body build up a defense during illness. Vitamin C is also an antioxidant. Like vitamin E, it circulates the body and helps cells repair and prevent damage to DNA. Vitamin C is present in vegetables and fruits, and it's used as a part of some massage oils and creams to help the skin.
