The ProForm brand of fitness equipment is made by Icon Health and Fitness, which makes other popular brands including NordicTrack and Epic. ProForm produced the 735CS in 2000 and sold it through Sears. The 735CS is a fold-away, motorized treadmill for residential use. It offers built-in programs, iFit technology and an automatic incline.

Design

Like many of ProForm's residential treadmill models, the 735CS is a fold-away machine. You lift the walking deck until it meets the console. The machine latches in this upright position. Tilt the unit to roll it on its wheels to a storage area. The user weight limit on the 735CS is 250 lbs.

Features

The 735CS has a speed range from 0 to 10 mph. It offers an automatic incline that you adjust with the push of a button. The incline range is 1.5 to 12 percent. Pulse sensors are located on the handlebar so you can check your heart rate at any time during your workout. The console area features a water bottle holder and a book holder.

Console Technology

The electronic console on the 735CS allows you to choose one of two operational modes: manual or program mode. Manual mode keeps you in control of the incline and speed settings. In program mode, you select one of six built-in workouts. The machine automatically adjusts the incline and speed settings for you. The console displays your speed, incline, elapsed workout time, laps, distance and the approximate number of calories you've burned.

iFit Technology

Your ProForm 735CS connects to your stereo or computer. Purchase iFit CDs separately. Each CD contains two workouts created by a certified personal trainer. The CD controls the speed and incline settings for you while a virtual personal trainer guides you through the workout. Connect the 735CS to your computer to access even more workout programs on the iFit.com website.

Maintenance

You do not need to lubricate the walking deck of your ProForm 735CS. It was prelubricated at the factory. ProForm recommends regularly checking the tension of the walking belt. The belt should lift 3 to 4 inches from the platform at the outer edges. If needed, adjust the belt according to the instructions in the user's manual. After each workout, check the nuts and bolts and tighten if necessary.
