T-Lite 3-Day Diet

The T-Lite three-day diet is a weight-loss plan consisting of a weight-loss supplement, accompanied by a restrictive and specific three-day diet plan. The three-day diet plan is followed by a more relaxed four-day plan. The idea is to continue with the supplements seven days a week. You can continue with the three-on, four-off diet until you have reached your goals.

Claims

The T-Lite diet claims to allow users to lose up to 10 lbs. in three days. The pills purportedly increase your metabolism, suppress your appetite and hold back any sugar or other carbohydrate cravings you may have. T-Lite Energy capsules, which were formerly known as T-Lite Weight Management, are the capsules to take as part of the T-Lite 3-day diet. You can find the T-Lite brand of diet capsules online and over the counter at some drug stores. Day One Diet

On day one of the three-day eating plan, your breakfast consists of half a grapefruit and one slice of toast with 2 tbsp of peanut butter. For lunch, you will have ½ cup tuna with one slice of toast. For dinner, you eat 3 oz. white meat poultry, 1 cup string beans, 1 cup peas or carrots, one small apple and 1 cup low-fat frozen yogurt.

Day Two Diet

Day two starts with one egg, half a banana and one slice of toast. For lunch you will eat 1 cup of cottage cheese and five saltine crackers. At dinner time, have 3 oz. skinless chicken breast, 1 cup broccoli, ½ cup carrots, half a banana and ½ cup low-fat frozen yogurt.

Day Three Diet

On day three, eat five crackers, 1 oz. of cheddar cheese and one apple for breakfast. For lunch, eat one hard boiled egg and one slice of toast. Dinner consists of 1 cup tuna, 1 cup peas or carrots, 1 cup cauliflower, half a cantaloupe and ½ cup low-fat yogurt.

Foods to Avoid

During the four-day break period, men should maintain a caloric intake of 1,700 to 2,000, while women should aim for 1,400 to 1,600 calories per day. On the four off-days, you must avoid many unhealthy foods such as alcohol, bacon, butter, cake, candy, french fries, fatty meats, fried foods, salty foods, soda, pizza, pudding and others. Basically, any fatty or sugary foods are off limits.

Considerations

It is recommended to drink 64 oz. of water while taking part in the diet. You are permitted to eat the three-day meal foods in any order you wish, and at any times of the day as long as you eat only those foods. The diet is quite restrictive in the first three days and could be difficult for many people to handle. The pills are not regulated by the FDA, so consult your doctor before you decide to give it a try. The product website claims to be up to date with the latest health and science news in regard to its products, but no credible medical information appears to be available to back up any of the claims.
