College golf fitness programs help develop sport-specific athletic skills and prepare students for collegiate golf. Specialized fitness training for college-level golfers include specific college programs, professional fitness organizations that cater to collegiate golfers and organizations that work with junior golfers to train them for playing at the collegiate level.

Orange County Junior Golf Fitness Program

The Orange County junior golf fitness program is part of Body Balance for Performance, an organization that specializes golf fitness programs. The cost for golf fitness services varies depending on the program and services used. The company is based out of Irvine, California.

The program is open to students in their junior year of high school. The company claims to work with juniors to help lower scores, handle tournament pressure, respect rules and game etiquette, play for the school team and offer the opportunity to earn a college scholarships.

They also offer a college prep program specifically designed for juniors who play regional and national tournaments and want to improve their ranking. This program includes one-on-one training, golf skills assessment, customized exercise program, nutrition guidance, practice schedule development, tournament preparation, guidance for playing under pressure and help with the college recruiting process.

Brad James Golf Academy-College Golf Week

Brad James Golf Academy is at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul, Minnesota. Brad James is the head golf coach at the University of Minnesota. College Golf Week is a program designed to evaluate, instruct and improve golf skills for junior golfers wanting to play college golf. Over the week, students learn etiquette, rules, equipment information, personalized instruction per age group and skill level, and a skills test that evaluates the students' skill levels.

The cost of the camp includes food. Students stay at the University of Minnesota dormitories. This facility is regarded as one of the premier facilities in the Big Ten, according to the U.S. Sports Camps Website.

University of Michigan Golf Fitness

The University of Michigan Health System has a sport-specific conditioning program for golf, built around evaluating the swing and body movements in an effort to design an individual program of exercises to improve flexibility and strength. The program includes three one-on-one sessions with a certified trainer, biomechanical evaluation, strength and flexibility evaluation, and golf swing analysis using video and individual instruction.
