Noxzema manufactures a line of skin care products designed for people that want to pamper and protect their skin. Their products include cleansers, medicated wipes, moisturizers and makeup removers designed to fight acne, moisturize dry skin and remove excess oil without irritating the skin. You can find the Noxzema line of products at drug stores and superstores.

Cleansing Creams and Cloths

Noxzema manufactures three basic lines of skin care products, including Original Clean, Triple Clean and Clean Blemish Control. The Original Clean line includes Noxzema's classic cleansing cream with eucalyptus oil in a jar or pump dispenser, as well as a version of the classic cleansing cream with added moisturizer for people with dry skin. The company also sells single-use makeup removing cloths. The Triple Clean products include an anti-bacterial cleanser for acne-prone skin and anti-blemish pads with salicylic acid to fight acne. The Clean Blemish Control line is designed for adult skin and includes a daily blemish-control scrub and a foaming cleanser, both of which contain salicylic acid.

Acne Fighters

Noxzema manufactures oil-free cleansers designed to remove makeup, excess oil and bacteria from the skin, which can lead to clogged pores and blemishes. The original cream cleanser with added moisturizers helps keep the skin hydrated, since over-drying often occurs when treating acne. Several Noxzema products contain salicylic acid, a topical acne medication, to help clear up existing pimples and prevent new ones.

Radiance Regimen

The original Noxzema cream cleanser contains eucalyptus oil, which creates a tingling sensation and may help cool and soothe irritated skin. The products are non-comedogenic, meaning they will not clog pores. The blemish-control pads and makeup-removing wipes are easily portable for people on the go. Facial cleansers and topical wipes that contain salicylic acid are often very effective at controlling blemishes in people with mild to moderate acne.

Doctor's Diagnosis

There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to skin care, particularly for those with oily or acne-prone skin. While most of Noxzema's products are designed to be gentle on even the most sensitive skin, it is possible the products could cause irritation. If you have severe or cystic acne, talk to your doctor or dermatologist about a skin care regimen and products to help combat the problem.

Dos and Don'ts

Do not use other products or acne medications while using Noxzema products that contain salicylic acid to avoid skin irritation and dryness. Salicylic acid may cause skin dryness, redness and stinging, though these side effects often subside with continued use of the product. While rare, some people may experience an allergic reaction or have symptoms of poisoning when using salicylic acid. Seek emergency medical attention if you experience dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, ringing in the ears or psychic disturbances after using topical products containing the medication.
