Sagging skin is a result of aging, and a common result of rapid weight loss. Although many find this feature a distinguished sign of age and wisdom, others want to restore their faces to a wrinkle-free, youthful appearance. Facial stretches are one way to accomplish this naturally.

Forehead Lift

This stretch removes sagging and wrinkles from the forehead and temples. Sitting comfortably in a chair, press your index fingers lightly to the skin above your eyebrows. Raise your eyebrows against the resistance of your fingertips, working out the muscles responsible for this action. Face exercise trainer Carole Maggio, founder of "Facercise," recommends holding for three to five seconds and doing 10 to 15 repetitions in a sitting.

Lower Jaw

This stretch for the chin and underside of the jaw can help with the drooping turkey neck skin many people find especially unsightly. Let your mouth drop completely open, then strain to open it as far as you can. Pull back the corners of your mouth in a smile. Place the heels of your hands on your temples, then slide your head forward as you move your shoulders back. You will feel this stretch in your neck and jaw. Hold for 30 seconds, then relax for five. Repeat five to 10 times.

Suprised Eyes

This exercise is borrowed from yoga, where it's used as a warm-up and attention-focusing technique. Allow your mouth to hang open naturally, then smile as wide as you can. Put the pads of your fingers on the ridge of your cheekbones directly beneath your eyes. Squint, pulling your lower eyelids up against the pressure from your fingertips. Hold for five seconds, then relax. Repeat for five to 10 repetitions. This exercise can help relive crows feet and laugh lines in the center of your face.
