The K2 Omni is a ski made for beginning and intermediate skiers. The K2 is a bridge ski, designed to help recreational skiers improve their skills so they can advance to more challenging slopes. The ski offers a combination of turning ease and stability that many beginner skis do not offer.

Intended User

The K2 is designed for skiers who generally do not ski on difficult terrain or at the high speeds of more advanced skiers. Increased flexibility helps provide better turning and stability on uneven terrain. The turning radius makes turning and stopping easier at the slower speeds that beginning and intermediate skiers use, according to Galacticsnowsports.com.

Recommended Terrain

The K2 is designed for use on a variety of terrains. The flexibility helps skiers manage bumps and hills better than a stiffer ski recreational skiers usually use. A stiffer ski provides more stability but less control.

Construction

The K2 has a core made with triaxial braiding and torsion box construction, which provides stiffness and strength. The braiding reinforces the ski to help reduce the risk of breaking. The ski has additional reinforcement toward the middle of the ski, and has an elastic secondary core that improves shock dampening and flexibility, according to Evo.com.

Specs

The Omni weighs 15 lb. has a has a tip width of 112 mm, waist width of 70 mm, tail width of 97 mm and a turning radius of 16 m, according to Evo.com.

Design

The Omni has bold cosmetics, featuring large letters on either white and red or light and dark gray color schemes.
