Redline diet products come in gel capsules, liquids and a new type of capsule that contains both liquid and microtabs. Redline products are aimed primarily towards bodybuilders, who are more likely to understand the risks of taking products with high levels of stimulants than people simply looking for diet pills. The VPX company, which manufactures Redline, extols its products, whether in capsule or liquid form, in florid language that may sound too good to be true.
Capsules
Three of the 11 Redline diet products come in capsule form. The products are Black on Blue, Meltdown and Redline Gel Caps. Black on Blue capsules are said to be a rapid weight loss system that will kick in within five minutes. Meltdown is described as more powerful that an ephedrine and caffeine combo. Redline Gel Caps are said to begin working within five minutes.
Liquids
Redform liquid diet products include Liquid Clensbutz Hardcore, which is claimed to melt fat "faster than butter on a stove and elevate your metabolism faster than a Cheetah on feeding day." The other liquid products are Energy Drink, Power Rush, Extreme Energy Drink, Concentrate, Meltdown Fat Assault Shot -- a 2.5-oz "shot" that supposedly lasts up to seven hours -- and Princess Energy Drink, which is said to give women enough energy, appetite suppression and mood enhancement to become euphoric.
Ingredients
There are certain ingredients that pop up in a number of different Redline diet products. The main ingredient appears to be caffeine in various forms. In fact, Redline products contain so much caffeine and other stimulants such as yohimbe that Ultimate Fat Burner's review of Redline described it as only suitable for people gearing up for an intense workout, running an 80-mile marathon or cramming for an exam after showing up for class only twice all semester.
Diet Pills
Weight reduction supplements in any form -- pills, capsules or liquids -- are frowned upon by many health organizations. First, diet pills are a quick fix for weight loss, if they work at all. As MayoClinic.com states, "The reality is that there's no magic bullet for losing weight." Second, weight reduction supplements can be dangerous. A 2009 "Newsweek" article discussed an FDA crackdown on weight loss drugs after the agency found 72 products that contained undisclosed contents, such as prescription appetite suppressants, diuretics, anti-seizure drugs and even possible cancer-causing drugs. The side effects of such medications include heart attacks, seizures and strokes.
Cautions
XRY includes a long list of warnings on its website. Don't take Redline products if you are under 18, pregnant or nursing. Don't take Redline products if you are more than 15 lbs. overweight. Side effects include rapid heartbeat, dizziness, severe headache and shortness of breath.
Other than the liquid products possibly getting into your system more quickly, there appears to be no major difference between Redline liquid diet products and its capsule diet products. If you are tempted to try any diet pill or liquid, you should consult your doctor before doing so.
