Power Plate Instructions

The Power Plate is a piece of workout equipment that uses vibration training to provide a total body workout. Vibration training is purported to improve bone density, muscular strength and balance, according to MayoClinic.com. The Power Plate consists of a vibrating platform with handles for balance. Perform basic exercises such as push-ups on the Power Plate to boost the intensity of your workout.

Step 1

Set the rate of vibration using the pre-set options of "30," "35," "40" or "50" Hertz. Select a lower rate of vibration for workouts with a lower intensity level. Use "30" or "35" for most exercises. Choose a higher rate of vibration for a massage or to increase the intensity of your workout.

Step 2

Choose the time for vibration from the pre-set button selection of "30," "45" or "60" seconds.

Step 3

Select between "high" and "low" to set the intensity or amplitude of vibration. For example, choosing the "high" option will increase the amplitude of vibration when the Power Plate is set at "30" Hertz.

Step 4

Stand on the Power Plate and press "Start" to begin your workout.

Step 5

Position yourself for the exercise of your choice.
