Getting a slim and trim behind takes work. Specific exercises will tone and sculpt your butt quickly, lifting your rear and tightening your thighs. However, toning exercises will only get you so far. To really sculpt your butt, you'll need to take part in aerobic exercise like running or biking, and you'll need to adopt a healthy diet too.

Lunges

Lunges tone and tighten the glutes and give your bottom a serious lift. To perform these exercises, stand with your feet together, then take a large step forward with your right foot. Lower your body down by bending your left knee, but don't lean forward past your right knee. Both of your knees should be at a 90-degree angle. Keep your body straight and upright, then move back to the starting position. Repeat at least 10 times on each leg.

Squats

Squats also shape your tush. While standing with your feet spread slightly apart, bend your knees. Keep your back as straight as possible, as though you're trying to sit in a chair, says BodyBuilding.com. Hold this position for several seconds before pushing back to the starting position. You will definitely feel this in your glutes and see results when performed regularly.

Bridges

Bridges or pelvic lifts are another way to sculpt your butt into better shape, according to the American Council on Exercise. While lying on the ground, place your feet flat and your knees bent. With your arms at your sides, lift your hips up off the ground until they form a bridge. Your feet should stay flat on the floor. For added sculpting, tighten your butt at the height of the bridge before lowering back down. Try at least 15 repetitions.
