An overgrowth of the bacteria Candida is the primary cause of yeast infections, which can occur at any age and in various bodily locations. Yeast thrives in moist and warm environments, and can grow in nail beds, the lower abdomen, the feet and within skin folds. Apple cider vinegar is a common home remedy for yeast infections, and there are a number of different ways to employ it to neutralize the yeast.

Bath

An apple cider vinegar bath may help eliminate yeast growing externally on the body. According to the Disabled World website, simply add a cup of it to your bathwater for soothing and relaxing relief.

Drink

Apple cider vinegar can also help manage yeast bacteria when used as a drink. According to the Earth Clinic website, sipping on 16 oz. of water combined with two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar will inhibit Candida growth and destroy existing bacteria by balancing your body's pH levels.

Douche

An apple cider vinegar douche may help restore your vagina's natural acidity levels to the point where Candida will not grow. According to the Candida Cure Recipes website, apple cider vinegar naturally has the same acidity as a healthy vagina. By adding three tablespoons of it to two quarts of warm purified water and douching two times a day, yeast infections symptoms should disappear.
