Facials rejuvenate and refresh your skin. Unfortunately, they don't do the same for your wallet. If you're trying to cut costs or use more natural products in your beauty routine, you can make everything you need for a full facial at home.

Exfoliating and Cleansing

Step 1

Tie your hair back. Splash warm water on your face.

Step 2

Scoop equal amounts of brown sugar and liquid Castile soap into your hands. Slather it over your moistened skin and work it in a gentle circular motion. This will clean and exfoliate your skin.

Step 3

Wash your face with warm water.

Steam Open Your Pores

Step 1

Turn the faucet to hot and let the water begin to steam.

Step 2

Hold your face over the steam for one to three minutes to steam open your pores.

Step 3

Trap the steam by holding a towel over your head, if you're not getting a lot of steam from your sink. You can also steam your pores open with a commercial facial steamer or a pot of boiling water.

Chocolate Facial Mask

Step 1

Create the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics chocolate facial mask for normal skin. Stir together 1/3 cup of cocoa powder, 3 tablespoons of heavy cream, 2 teaspoons of cottage cheese, 1/4 cup honey and 3 tablespoons of powdered oatmeal.

Step 2

Spread the facial mask all over your skin and neck. Be careful not to get it too close to your eyes.

Step 3

Lay a towel over a comfortable resting spot. Recline and relax for 10 minutes while you let the mask do its work.

Step 4

Rinse away the facial mask with warm water. It should leave your skin feeling soft and clean but if you feel you need a little more moisture, rub two to three drops of olive oil between your palms and lightly rub your palms over your face.
