Low-fat cottage cheese made from 2 percent cow's milk contains 203 calories per cup. One oz. of cheddar cheese contains 113 calories, 1 oz. of Colby has 110, and 1 oz. of brie has 94. A 38 g wedge of feta, or about 1.34 oz., contains 100 calories.
Goat's Milk Cheese
Goat cheese, or chevre, is made in soft, semisoft, and hard varieties. According to the website, Northernprairiechevre.com, about 76 calories are in one oz. of soft types; semisoft types have about 103 and hard types have about 128 calories per oz.
