The Special K Challenge is a weight-loss plan designed by the team at the Kellogg's company. It uses Special K products to create a weight-loss diet plan. The plan allows for one well-balanced meal and two Special K meals, consisting of cereal, a protein shake or a protein meal bar. You are allowed two Special K snacks in between meals.

Once per day, you are to consume a well-balanced and healthy meal. The website supplies numerous recipes to help you with your choice. Most of the recipes range from 200 to 300 calories each. The website also suggests some healthy side dishes to go with your meal and round it out to about 400 calories.
Fruits and Vegetables
Four ounces of fresh blueberries has 43 calories, while a large garden salad with no dressing has about 100 calories. The Special K challenge allows for as much fruit and vegetables as you like, so the calorie count in this category with vary quite a bit among individuals.
Total Calories
The number of calories consumed on this diet will vary because of the unlimited produce allowance. The plan also states that you should consume beverages as you normally would. This allows for variance as well, depending on the number of juices, sweetened drinks and dairy consumed. Based on averages, this diet plan allows for a daily calorie intake of roughly 1,400 to 1,800.
