Allergic Reactions

The supplement may boost the activity of the immune system, which may negatively affect a person with a condition such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. Medications that suppress the immune system, such as prednisone or cyclosporine, to prevent organ transplant rejection may become less effective if combined with astragalus.
