Hpnotiq, pronounced "hypnotic," blends cognac, vodka and tropical fruit juices to create an alcoholic beverage that its manufacturers describe as "refined and elegant." This aqua-blue liqueur provides the base for a myriad of cocktails, but contains quite a lot of calories.

Calories

Each ounce of Hpnotiq contains 103 calories. The typical serving size for Hpnotiq is about 2 oz., or 206 calories. The volume of Hpnotiq in a cocktail ranges from 1 to 3 oz., or 103 to 309 calories, just for the Hpnotiq contribution to that cocktail.

Carbohydrates

Most of the calories in Hpnotiq come from carbohydrates. Each ounce contains about 11 g of carbohydrates, 10.9 g of which are from sugar. These carbohydrates come from fruit sugars, as Hpnotiq contains a blend of fruit juices.

Fat

None of the calories in Hpnotiq come from fat. However, consumption of Hpnotiq does affect your metabolism. Hpnotiq contains 17 percent alcohol by volume. A small amount of that alcohol converts directly to fat, but the majority converts to acetate in your liver. Your body uses acetate as an alternative fuel to fat, decreasing your ability to lose weight.
