While Publix makes some sushi for catering, their sushi cream cheese rolls come from Southern Tsunami. These sushi rolls combine cream cheese with salmon and cucumbers that are rolled into rice and topped with toasted sesame seeds.

Calories

Each package of sushi cream cheese rolls contains 517 calories. A single serving of sushi cream cheese rolls equals one package or 280 g of sushi.

Fat

Much of the calories in cream cheese sushi rolls comes from fat. About 180 calories of the 517 total calories per serving contain fat, or about 20 g of fat per serving. About half of this fat is saturated fat. According to MayoClinic.com, saturated fat can increasing your risk of heart disease by increasing your levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) or "bad" cholesterol.

Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates also contribute to the total calories in cream cheese sushi rolls. Each package or 290 g serving contains almost 60 g of carbohydrates, 7g of which come from sugar and only 2g of which come from fiber sources. The rest come from the starch of the white rice encasing the salmon and cream cheese. Easily digested refined carbohydrates, such as those found white rice may contribute to weight gain, interfere with weight loss, and promote diabetes and heart disease, according to the Harvard School of Public Health.
