Brian Tracy is an author and entrepreneur who specializes in personal and professional development. He is recognized around the world as an expert on success psychology, goal-setting, leadership, business strategy and sales.

History

Tracy is a native Canadian who left high school before graduating and who left Canada at age 20 to travel the world, spending time in Europe, Asia and Africa. Eventually, Tracy returned to Canada, where he earned an MBA from the University of Alberta.

Before founding Brian Tracy International in 1980, Tracy was employed as the chief operation officer (COO) of a multimillion dollar development company. He also held jobs in sales and marketing, development, importing and management consulting before starting his own company.

Positions

Tracy is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Brian Tracy International, a company that focuses on improving the skills and knowledge of people and organizations. Tracy is also the president of Brian Tracy University, an online learning organization with classes in sales and entrepreneurship. Tracy is also a member of the board of trustees overseeing the Heritage Foundation, a research institution in Washington, D.C. dedicated to public policy.

Publications

Tracy is the author of more than 45 books and more than 300 video and audio learning programs. He is best known for his best-selling Psychology of Achievement learning program, which is available in 20 different languages. Tracy's published books include "The 100 Absolutely Unbreakable Laws of Business Success," "The 21 Success Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires" and "Eat That Frog."

Significance

Tracy's self-empowered business philosophy is the founding principle of Andrew Jackson University's business school. The school is named The Brian Tracy College of Business and Entrepreneurship after Tracy and uses his business strategies and teachings in its curriculum.

Personal

Tracy is a sought-after public speaker and consultant who addresses more than 250,000 people each year in countries around the world. Tracy has been to six of the seven continents, visiting more than 80 countries. Tracy speaks four languages. He makes his home in Solana Beach, California, with his wife and four children.
