Ohio may not be a tropical location located on the ocean, but that doesn’t mean it’s not an ideal tourism spot for Spring Breakers young and old alike. There are a variety of family friendly activities for kids on spring break, and just as many types of entertainment for the older crowd.

Cedar Point

When it comes to amusement parks, Ohio has some of the best there is to offer. Cedar Point Amusement Park is located in Sandusky, Ohio and offers a total of 17 roller coasters, more than any other amusement park in the world. Cedar Point also has a variety of thrill rides, kids and family rides, and water rides to appeal to any amusement park lovers’ tastes. In addition, there are also a variety of live shows and special holiday events to entertain those who don’t want to ride.

King's Island

Kings Island is another amusement park located in Mason, Ohio. Kings Island not only features a large number of thrill rides and roller coasters, but also has an entire section of a park dedicated to Snoopy and his friends, called Planet Snoopy. In addition, visitors can also enjoy a variety of live shows, dining, and family rides.

Put-n-Bay

Put-N-Bay takes advantage of the beautiful Lake Erie. Put-N-Bay is located about 15 miles northwest of Sandusky, on South Bass Island. The village itself is small, with only about ½ mile of actual land. Despite it’s small size, it is a well-known Ohio tourist attraction, providing a large variety of entertainment for kids, teens, families, and singles. There are a variety of bars, restaurants, outdoor activities, shopping, and live entertainment for any type of visitor. Although Put-N-Bay is primarily a summer location, there are options for spring breakers as well, including a St. Patrick’s Day celebration and various tours of the island.

Geneva on the Lake

Geneva on the Lake is another Ohio attraction that utilizes Lake Erie. Geneva on the Lake is a traditional, old-fashioned lake front resort that offers a variety of dining, camping, shopping, and nightlife opportunities. Geneva on the Lake is well known for its wineries that overlook the lake, making it an ideal location for college-aged spring breakers. Golf, shop, or relax on a beautiful patio during the day, and enjoy the exciting nightlife in the evenings. Rent a lakeside cottage or rough it for a few nights at one of Geneva’s campsites.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is located in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a riveting attraction for any music lover. The museum features seven floors and 150,000 square feet dedicated to the people who made rock and roll what it is today. Visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for one of its many events, special exhibits, or simply tour the museum.
