Dosage
Apple cider vinegar works as a weight-loss aid as an appetite suppressant. For this diet to work, you need to take 1 to 3 tsp. of apple cider vinegar before each meal. For the first three days of the diet, take 1 tsp. before each meal. On days four through six, take 2 tsp. of apple cider vinegar. After that, you can take 3 tsp. of apple cider vinegar. It is recommended that you not stay on the diet for more than two weeks at a time. Apple cider vinegar is highly acidic, and more than two weeks of ingesting it is not good for your stomach.
Appetite Suppressant
Apple cider vinegar will suppress your appetite. After having 1 to 3 tsp. of apple cider vinegar, you will most likely not feel like eating a full meal. There is little clinical evidence that the apple cider vinegar diet works, but the logical assertion that putting something distasteful in your mouth will limit your appetite makes sense.
Corrosive Nature
It is recommended that when you take apple cider vinegar you put it on the back of your tongue before swallowing it. Apple cider vinegar is very corrosive to your teeth and it is best to limit its contact with them. Swish some water around in your mouth after taking it.
