Doctor's CarbRite Diet bars are manufactured by supplement company Universal Nutrition, which produces a wide range of protein powders and other athletic supplements. The Doctor's CarbRite Diet bars are intended to be used as healthful snacks or occasional meal replacements by those on low-carbohydrate diets. Although the Doctor's CarbRite Diet bars may be beneficial, you should consult a doctor before using any supplements or beginning a weight-loss plan.

Calories

Doctor's CarbRite Diet bars may be helpful for dieting because they are low in calories. These bars contain 190 calories, which is lower in calories than a candy bar, which provides about 280 calories, depending on the brand. The Doctor's CarbRite Diet bars provide nearly 10 percent of the daily recommended intake of 2,000 calories.

Carbohydrate Content

Each Doctor's CarbRite Diet bar contains 22g of carbohydrates. However, 19g of these carbohydrates come from sugar alcohols, a type of carbohydrate that provides fewer calories than other carbohydrates, according to the American Diabetes Association. Sugar alcohols also have less of an impact on your blood sugar than other carbohydrates such as starch and sugar, which makes them popular for use on low-carbohydrate diets.

Protein Content

Although Doctor's CarbRite Diet bars are primarily marketed as low-carbohydrate bars, they are high in protein as well. Each bar contains 21g of protein, which comes from soy and whey protein. According to research from the October 2004 issue of the International Journal of Obesity and Related Metabolic Disorders, a diet high in soy protein and low in fat may help you lose weight while retaining muscle mass.

Fat Content

Doctor's CarbRite Diet bars are low in fat, with 4g of fat per bar. Of this fat, 2g comes from saturated fat, but none comes from trans fat.

Vitamin and Mineral Content

Doctor's CarbRite Diet bars are not rich in vitamins and minerals. However, each bar does provide 15 percent of the daily recommended intake of calcium and 5 percent of the daily recommended intake of iron.

Flavors

Doctor's CarbRite Diet bars come in 11 different flavors. These flavors are: Blueberry Cheesecake, Cookie Dough, Chocolate Banana Nut, Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Mint Cookie, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Frosted Cinnamon Bun, Lemon Meringue, Raspberry Chocolate Truffle, S'mores and Toasted Coconut.
