Founded in 1895, Schwinn Bicycle Company specializes in a variety of products including bikes, riding gloves, function computers and bike pumps. Schwinn makes different pump models to meet the varying needs of avid cyclists. Utilize the Schwinn bike pump to keep your tires inflated to the proper air pressure.

Floor Pump

According to Schwinn, the Basic Floor Pump features a sturdy base and a 1.5-inch barrel. Place the base of the pump onto the ground beside your bicycle. Remove the caps from your tire valves. Locate the head of the pump hose. Lift the corresponding lever. Determine if you have conventional American valves or French valves. For American Schrader valves, place the hose head onto the valve and lower the lever. For French Presta valves, utilize the specialized hose adapter. Lift and lower the handle to inflate your tire tubes.

Foot Pump

Schwinn states that the foot pump model features a pressure gauge as well as a swiveling hose. Place the base of the foot pump onto the ground beside your bicycle. Remove the caps from your tire valves. Fasten the head of the hose onto the valve and lower the lever. Use the special adapter if you have Presta valves. Push down on the molded pedal with the bottom of your shoe to pump air into your tire tubes.

Flyweight

The bracket system of the Schwinn Flyweight allows you to fasten the compact pump onto the frame of your bicycle. According to Schwinn, the Flyweight model features a dual head that can adapt to both Schrader and Presta valves. Remove the caps from your tire valves. Fasten the corresponding head of the Flyweight onto the valve. Push sideways against the base of the Flyweight to release the handle. Pull the handle backwards. Push the handle forward to inflate your tire tubes.

Inflating Sports Balls

Schwinn offers a specialized needle that enables you to inflate various types of sports balls. Lift the lever found on the head of your Schwinn pump hose. Insert the base of the sports needle into the head. Lower the head lever to fasten the needle in place. Insert the slender needle into the circular valve of the sports ball. Use the handle or pedal of your Schwinn pump to inflate the ball.
